Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is setting his sights on the upcoming season, aiming to build on his previous performances and help his club achieve higher ambitions in Serie A. Okoye, who has been active off the pitch this summer, emphasized the importance of separating his personal interests from his professional responsibilities as a goalkeeper.
Okoye recently attended events such as the British Grand Prix and Paris Fashion Week in July, which have increased his public profile. Despite these activities, he maintains that his primary focus remains on his role with Udinese. He stated, “What happens off the pitch is one thing, what happens on the pitch is another. You have to separate the two. I never let these two worlds collide.”
The goalkeeper acknowledged that marketing and personal branding are increasingly significant in modern football, but reiterated that his main job is to protect his team’s goal. He said, “At the end of the day, I am a goalkeeper, and my main job is to protect my team’s goal.”

Okoye enters the new Serie A season with clear objectives for both himself and Udinese. His current contract with Udinese runs until 2028, and despite links to other clubs this summer, he remains committed.
