The lawsuit claims that Hajdini drugged Rana and coerced him into sexual acts. Rana alleges that he faced threats of professional consequences if he did not comply with her demands. The alleged harassment began shortly after Rana joined JPMorgan’s leveraged finance team in the spring of 2024.

JPMorgan conducted an internal investigation and found no evidence to support the allegations. A spokesperson stated, “Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims.” Hajdini categorically denies the allegations. She asserts that she never engaged in any inappropriate conduct and has never even been to the location where the alleged incident supposedly took place.

Rana’s lawsuit also names JPMorgan Chase as a defendant, accusing the bank of retaliation. He was placed on involuntary leave after reporting the alleged harassment. Now a principal at investment firm Bregal Sagemount, Rana is seeking millions as a payoff to leave JPMorgan.

Hajdini is described as a top performer at JPMorgan and is currently 37 years old, serving as an executive director in the leveraged finance division. Her ally stated, “He has tarnished her with a complete fabrication.” Meanwhile, Daniel J Kaiser, Rana’s attorney, emphasized that the allegations have affected his client both personally and professionally.

The legal battle continues without a trial date set for the lawsuit. Both sides are preparing for what could be a lengthy process.
