Peter Obi has stated that the current minimum wage can no longer guarantee a modest standard of living in Nigeria. He said, “When workers suffer, the nation suffers. When workers are empowered, the nation prospers.” This statement reflects ongoing concerns about worker welfare amid economic hardship.

Obi also noted that “No nation can truly develop beyond the strength, productivity, and wellbeing of its workforce.” His remarks underscore the importance of addressing worker needs for national prosperity.
