The Lagos State Government is enhancing its arts competition to position the state as Africa’s premier hub for arts and culture. The 2026 Eko Schools Arts and Crafts Competition has commenced, aiming to discover and nurture the creative talents of young residents.
The competition’s theme is ‘THIS IS LAGOS!’. Registration opened on May 4, 2026, and will close on May 25, 2026. Officials expect around 300 entries, significantly higher than the 153 from the inaugural edition in October 2025.
