Candidates who registered for the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can start printing their notification slips from March 23, 2026. The Mock UTME is scheduled to take place on March 28, 2026.
The duration of the Mock UTME has been extended from two hours to four hours. Two consecutive sessions will be held on the same day: the first from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and the second from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participation in the Mock UTME is mandatory for registered candidates.
JAMB has advised candidates to print their slips and locate their assigned centres ahead of the examination date. “Candidates are to access their slips via the JAMB website, clicking on ‘2-Session 2026 MOCK SLIP PRINTING,’ and entering their registration numbers,” a JAMB spokesperson stated.
The Mock UTME allows candidates to familiarise themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment, which is crucial for their performance in the main examination. “The adjustment is designed to give candidates ample opportunity to familiarise themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment,” JAMB added.
A total of 2,243,816 candidates have registered for the 2026 UTME nationwide, with JAMB creating 1,000 examination centres across the country. The board has projected N23.8 billion in internally generated revenue for 2026, with N6 billion to be remitted to the Federation Account as operating surplus.
Additionally, JAMB remitted a total of N1,570,671,200 to CBT centres for the 2026 UTME registration exercise. Observers note that the Mock UTME is a critical step for candidates as they prepare for the main examination.
Skipping the exam, it said, is therefore not an option. “All affected candidates are therefore strongly advised to make the necessary arrangements to participate in the Mock UTME,” JAMB emphasized.
