Key Development
On March 10, 2026, Heeseung announced his departure from ENHYPEN, a decision that has been anticipated by fans and the music community alike. This marks the first lineup change for the group since their debut in November 2020.
Heeseung, who is 24 years old and the oldest member of ENHYPEN, has been a pivotal figure in the group’s rise to fame. After debuting through the survival show ‘I-LAND’, he contributed significantly to establishing ENHYPEN as a leading fourth-generation boy band.
Following extensive discussions with his bandmates and management at BELIFT LAB, Heeseung decided to pursue a distinct musical vision as a solo artist. BELIFT LAB confirmed that this decision was mutual, emphasizing the importance of each member’s vision for the future.
Current State
As of now, ENHYPEN will continue as a six-member group, with Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki remaining. Heeseung expressed his gratitude towards his bandmates and fans in a heartfelt message, stating, “Thanks to the members with whom I shared countless emotions, and to ENGENE, who always filled every empty space with their support, I was able to take step after step toward a dream that once felt out of reach.”
Future Plans
Heeseung plans to release a solo album, marking a new chapter in his career. BELIFT LAB has expressed hope that fans will understand this decision, which they believe is made for the future of both Heeseung and ENHYPEN.
This transition is significant not only for Heeseung but also for the remaining members of ENHYPEN, who will need to adapt to this change while continuing to engage their fanbase, known as ENGENE. The group’s future direction will be closely watched by fans and industry observers alike.
