A 23-year-old man was arrested in Ibadan early on April 13, 2026, for allegedly severing the head of a six-year-old girl named Mutiyatu Sunday. The suspect was apprehended after police found him in possession of the severed head, prompting immediate action from law enforcement.

In a separate operation, the Oyo State Police Command arrested ten individuals for allegedly specializing in the forgery of official documents. This operation was conducted by the Police Command’s Monitoring Unit in response to actionable intelligence received on April 9.
During the operation, the suspects were found with various incriminating items, including fake police stamps and certificates. Olayinka confirmed that all suspects have confessed to their involvement in the criminal enterprise and are currently providing useful information to aid ongoing investigations.
