The announcement of Taiwo’s passing came in the early hours of Sunday, though the reason for death is still not known.
Taiwo, together with his twin brother Kehinde, formed the melodic heart of the ensemble, earning acclaim not only for their artistry but also for the profound emblem of togetherness they embodied.
The Adegbodu twins, hailing from Oyo, devoted themselves to gospel music and became key figures in the Yoruba gospel community. Their rise to fame commenced with the launch of their first album, ‘Faratimi (Lean on Me),’ in 1999. This project achieved remarkable success, positioning them as essential new voices in the realm of contemporary Christian music.

Renowned actor Muyiwa Ademola took to Instagram to share his sorrow, mentioning that the news had “struck deeply.” He referred to Taiwo as one of the most talented artists he had ever encountered.
“It is difficult to bear. This resonates deeply. One of the most remarkable individuals I have ever known left this life early this morning. I will love you forever, dear brother. This brings me to my knees. Travel well, Taiwo Adegbodu,” he expressed.

In his homage, Seun Oloketuyi, the creator of BON Awards, emphasized the artist’s “kind and influential demeanor.”
Oloketuyi recognized the profound emptiness left for the family, particularly for Kehinde. He offered heartfelt prayers for solace and strength for those in mourning.
