The National Universities Commission has granted full accreditation to 20 academic programmes at Adekunle Ajasin University, marking a significant achievement for the institution. This decision reflects the university’s commitment to quality education and adherence to national standards.

The accreditation covers six faculties within the university. The last periodic accreditation exercise by the NUC occurred between October and December 2025.

Accredited Programmes:

  • The Faculty of Administration and Management has three accredited programmes: Accounting, Banking and Finance, and Public Administration.
  • The Faculty of Arts features three accredited programmes: Linguistics and Yoruba, Philosophy, and Yoruba Language.
  • The Faculty of Education boasts nine accredited programmes, including Adult Education and Educational Management.
  • The Faculty of Law includes one accredited programme: Law.
  • The Faculty of Science has two accredited programmes: Biochemistry and Geology.
  • The Faculty of Social Sciences offers two accredited programmes: Geography and Planning Sciences, and Psychology.

Vice Chancellor Olugbenga Ige praised the NUC for its unwavering dedication to quality standards in Nigerian universities. He noted that the approved programmes span six faculties, reflecting the university’s growing academic strength and national recognition.

This outcome has brought tremendous joy to the entire university community. The letter conveying the accreditation was signed by Abraham Chundusu on behalf of the NUC Executive Secretary.
