2025 Civil Defence Recruitment Update
On Sunday, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) affirmed that its ongoing recruitment process is free of charge for all applicants and is conducted transparently.
In light of this, the NSCDC has issued a caution to the public, especially prospective candidates, advising them against engaging in any financial transactions as a means to secure employment within the organization.
The Corps is actively seeking to apprehend those involved in these fraudulent activities. This was articulated in a statement delivered in Abuja by Ekunola Gbenga, the Commandant-Media General’s Assistant.
Ekunola noted that investigations by the NSCDC had uncovered certain unscrupulous individuals exploiting naive applicants by falsely promising to facilitate their recruitment into the service for a fee.
He emphasized that there are absolutely no charges associated with the current recruitment process. “Hence, at no point should any applicant feel compelled to make payments to any individuals or bank accounts during the recruitment phase.”
